Isa Al-Masih

Did Isa Al-Masih Really Die and Rise From Death?

Tokoh 10As stated in earlier questions, the Koran gives us some amazing facts about Isa Al-Masih. Only two critical statements about Him are untrue. First, the Koran states that Isa Al-Masih was only a man. The Bible teaches us that Isa Al-Masih was God who descended from heaven and became a man. Second, the Koran teaches that Isa Al-Masih avoided the cross. The Bible teaches that although He could have avoided the cross and had the power to come down from the cross, He chose to suffer and die and pay the penalty for the sins of mankind. Indeed He died but He also rose and ascended back into heaven (which is confirmed by the Koran).

I just wanted to comment that this website is great, and I just found an article I thought would strengthen this! (Excerpt from A Case for Easter," by Lee Strobel 2004) http://www.christchurchreformed.com/SwoonTheoryStrobel.htm

May God bless you in our path to the truth and light of the world! :)

There is no doubt that the Injil was a Holy Book and that Hazrat Isa (A.S) was the messanger of Allah. It is also a reality that the Quran is the last Holy book (the words of Allah (God). So, it is crystal clear that all of the facts in the Quran are true about Jesus. It is the duty of all of mankind to obey the commands of Allah as they are given in the Quran.

Dear Mian,

You are right that the Injil was, and is not just a Holy Book, but the Holy Book. The Injil presents the message that Isa Al-Masih gave. I can't agree with you, though, about the Quran, and therefore can't agree that everything it says about Jesus is true.

Most of the things that the Quran says about Jesus are true. Jesus was a messenger of God, and he fulfilled the Law. He will come back at the end of time as judge, and will defeat Dajjal. Jesus was born of a virgin. But the Quran also says that Jesus did not die on the cross. I must disagree with this, as the Injil clearly teaches that Jesus did die on the cross.

Jesus' death on the cross is a historical fact, not just something in the Injil. This article gives a more full explanation about Jesus' death and resurrection: http://isaandislam.com/isa-al-masih/where-is-the-body-of-christ.html.

Good Friday - Happy Easter

The Holy Qur'an testifies of the 3 main Christian Holidays:

Surah Al Miriam 19, 33
Isa said:”Peace be upon me the day I was born (Christmas), the day I die (Good Friday) and the day I will be raised alive (Easter).”

Many Muslims ask, what is so 'good' about "Good Friday", the crucifixion?

It is mentioned just once in the Holy Qur'an - Surah 4,157-158:
"... and they (the Jews) have said, 'Verily we have slain Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the apostle of Allah'. But they slew him not, neither crucified him, but it seemed to them as if (they did it). They did not kill him with certainty (as they handed him over to the Romans who crucified him) No; Allah took him up unto himself" (The resurrection on the third day - (Easter) and subsequent ascension into heaven)

So, technically, it was the Romans who did the actual killing. But more importantly, it was in fact Allah's sovereign plan and purpose.

Isa himself said in the Holy Injil, “No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily..." (John 10:18).

Therefore "Good Friday" is good because we do not celebrate a "conspiracy", but a "rescue operation"!
