Is It True That in the Quran There Are No Verses Which Are Strange, Filthy, Indecent, and the Like?

Please pay attention to the following verses in the Koran:

Verses which are very strange and peculiar:

“Then God sent a raven scratching up the ground, to show him (Cain) how to hide his brother’s naked corpse” (Qs 5:31).

“We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, from betwixt the refuse and the blood, pure milk palatable to the drinkers” (Qs 16:66).

“And unto Solomon …(We gave him) certain of the jinn (genies) who worked for him by

permission of his Lord.. …They (the jinn) made for him what he willed: synagogues and statues,

basins like wells and boilers built into the ground ” (Qs 34:12-13). “And there were gathered together unto Solomon his armies of the jinn (genies) and humankind and of the birds, and they were set in battle order. Till, when they reached the Valley of the Ants, an ant exclaimed: ‘0 ants! Enter your dwellings….’” (Qs 27:17,18).

Verses from the Hadith which include words that are indecent, filthy, pornographic, etc.

An expression of Muhammad himself: “Do not urinate in water that is not flowing lest you do your ritual washing in it.” (Ahmad and Attirmidzi)darkheart

“Cursed is anyone who has intercourse with his wife through her anus.” (Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Ibnu Majah)

*The above hadiths are quoted from the book “1100 Chosen Hadiths” written by Dr. Muhammad Faiz Almath.

Islam is the Way of life. That is why it mentions everything we need to know in our life. If we follow the Quran and sunnah we will then we can achieve the highest in tawaab that leads to jannah.

      Moosa,

Yes, Islam is a way of life. Following Isa is also a way of life, and from what I read in the Injil is the way of life.

Isa Al-Masih said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (Injil, John 14:6). He also says, “I have come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly” (Injil, 10:10).

Isa Al-Masih gives life as well as everything we need for life. 2 Timothy 3:16 says “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”

“Cursed is anyone who has intercourse with his wife through her anus.” (Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Ibnu Majah)

This is taken from the hadiths which refer to reports of statements or actions of Muhammad, or of his tacit approval or disapproval/criticism of something said or done in his presence.
Based on the verses that your site quotes, that hadith refers to the disapproval acts. If you just quote the verse then you will never know what the verse states.

In mentioning the word anus, this is in line of the teaching that Anal intercourse is prohibited. So the verse should really be specific with it.

On the hadith about urinating, I can prove that this is just for the preparation for praying, because in Islam, it is necessary for us to clean ourselves before praying.

      Hairiyah,

If this is truly the reason why these things are mentioned, then that is fine. The point we are trying to make, though, is that the Quran and the Hadiths do mention things that are filthy, as Muslims say there are no filthy things in the Quran, and criticize the Bible for discussing things similar to this for similar reasons.

“Your two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies” (Song of Solomon 4:5)
“I am a wall, and my breasts like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found favour” [/b](Song of Solomon 8:10)
“But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves” (Numbers 31:18)
“This thy stature is like a palm tree, and your breasts to clusters of grapes. I said, I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of the boughs thereof: now also thy breasts shall be as clusters of the vine, and the smell of thy nose like apples;…” (Song of Solomon 7:7-8)

Can anyone match these filthy verses to any in the Quran? May, God help us all.

      Muslim,

Let’s not neglect that “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness…” (2 Timothy 3:16)

God has given His words in different forms. The book of Song of Songs is a poem which has primary message about humans’ love, marriage, sexual love which are gifts from God. It was written within the context of a one-on-one relationship in marriage.

If you consider ”Your two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies” to be God breathed, then I’m sorry, my God does not inspire profanity. Couldn’t the author(s)/editors have framed this in a Godly manner? Compare with the superior language of the Quran:’ ‘And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof.”

Anyway, your bible glorifies incest as shown below! Song of Songs 8:1-3, “If only you were to me like a brother, who was nursed at my mother’s breasts! Then, if I found you outside, I would kiss you, and no one would despise me. I would lead you and bring you to my mother’s house- she who has taught me. I would give you spiced wine to drink, the nectar of my pomegranates. His left arm is under my head and his right arm embraces me.” This filth is God breathed? May God be glorified above your speech.

      Muslim,

What do you mean? Having an intimate relationship between man and wife is “filthy” to you? As said previously that this book message is about human’s love, marriage, sexual love which are gifts from God.

This book was written by King Solomon, to present marriage as God’s design. A man and woman are to live together within the marriage, to love each other spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

Seriously, Aila, you need to start addressing my comments properly.

I wrote: Anyway, your bible glorifies incest as shown below! Song of Songs 8:1-3, “If only you were to me like a brother, who was nursed at my mother’s breasts! So your god breathes incestuous fantasies into the mind of prophets? What guidance are we to acquire from this? As a Christian, am I supposed to fantasize about my wife being my sister?

      Muslim,

We must stop our arguments here because it goes out of the topic. Yet, here’s my answer to your question above:

The words “sister and brother” used in this poetic book express the intimate relationship between man and woman. Especially during the ancient times in Israel, the relationship was familial; “brother” or “sister” was commonly used representing intimacy. By saying “sister” or “brother”, they are as closed as the blood relatives.

    Hi,

I’m not sure what is so filthy about this verse. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is explaining to you! the formulation of milk in the she-cattle, 2000 years before it was discovered and the only thing you can say is that this is filthy?

You are supposed to ask me, “How did Prophet Muhammad – peace be upon him knew all of this?” Until you ask this question, only then can we have meaningful dialogue.

      Dear Saadiq,

Again, I want to thank you for your comment. The Muslims often offense the Bible saying there are filthy language in it. “How could God’s Word contain filthy verses?” they often said. But, what about the Quran itself then?

Also, about the verse that you claimed as scientific proven, it doesn’t contain any details that need to be proven by Science. Does it need to be proven? It’s plainly simple logic that anyone could know it.

My goodness! is that your response? that anyone could know it? Well as a matter of fact, the Christians since the year 1AD until the 19th century were clueless about how milk is formed in the she-cattle, even you didn’t know it, Until Islam came along and shared this very important scientific fact with the rest of mankind.

      Saadiq,

How do you know that non-Christians were clueless about how milk is formed? Isn’t milk formed in the she-cattle? Is there any other parts of the animal?
