“Is there evidence Isa died on the cross”? People often ask us this question on our website. We hope studying the following evidence about Isa Al-Masih’s death will give you a true perspective about it.

Four Pieces of Evidence Isa Died on the Cross

1)“ He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter . . .” (Prophet Isaiah 53:7). This prophecy was given by the prophet Isaiah referring to Isa Al-Masih’s death.

The prophecy was fulfilled hundreds of years later. “ They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again . . . Then they led him away to crucify him” (Injil, Matthew 27:30-31). The Gospel of Matthew was written by Isa’s disciple, Matthew. He witnessed Isa Al-Masih’s death.

2) During Isa’s life, He didn’t have many followers. But after His resurrection, the number of Christians grew rapidly.

4) Non-Christian historians like Josephus and Cornelius Tacitus, wrote about Isa Al-Masih’s death, thus confirming the Gospels.

questionsWas Isa’s Crucifixion a Lie?

According to Qs 3:55, “. . . O Isa, I am going to terminate the period of your stay (on earth) and cause you to ascend unto Me  . . .” Generally, Muslims say that Isa Al-Masih wasn’t crucified, Judas was. Allah swt replaced Isa with Judas.

If that’s true, then who appeared in front of Isa’s disciples and taught them after the crucifixion? Who said to Thomas, “. . . Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe “ (Injil, John 20:27)? Could it have been Judas who said it?

If Judas was crucified then all of the prophecies in the Torah, Zabur and Prophets were lies. Allah, who gave the prophecies, lied to His prophets. Surely Allah and the prophets didn’t lie! Who is wrong? Send us your thoughts here.

Sin separates mankind and Allah. That is why Isa died to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Humans will never have enough strength to lift themselves up to heaven, no matter how much good they do.

Sin causes mankind to live in slavery to Satan. Yet, Isa Al-Masih died and resurrected to defeat the devil, “ to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me ” (Injil, Acts 26:18).

Do you want to be cleansed from your sins? Come to Isa Al-Masih because He’s able to do it for You!

“Masih”, the position and title for “Isa”, refers to Jesus Christ or the Messiah which means Savior. Why do Muslims deny the crucifixion and resurrection of Isa Al-Masih when the Quran writes that Isa is the Savior?
