Is There Any Hope for Sinners in Islam?

2 November 2018 by Caleb Rahmat Leave a Comment

bersalahDo you agree everyone is a sinner?  The Quran and Injil agree we are all sinners. Even Muhammad was a sinner (Qs. Sura al-Fath 48:2).  What hope is there for you and me? Is there any hope for sinners in Islam?

We Are All in Trouble

The Quran says,

“Satan made Adam and his spouse err and caused them to abandon the state in which they had been living. Then We said, “Descend, you are each other’s enemies! The earth will be a dwelling place for you . . .” (Qs 2:36).

This shows that Adam’s sin had a negative impact on all future generations of mankind. In Arabic, the YOU in verses 36 and 38 of chapter two is plural and refers to more than two people. Therefore, humanity suffered expulsion because of their federal head, Adam. This point is reiterated elsewhere. “By no means hath he [mankind] fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him” (Qs 80:23).

According to the Hadith:  “Allah’s apostle said, ‘Every son of Adam sins’” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi no. 2499).  The Injil says, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Allah” (Injil, Roma 3:23).

praying handsCan you Abandon Your Sin?

We all deserve Allah’s judgment. “Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgement” (Injil, Hebrews  9:27).

We must abandon our sin. “So abandon sin, outward and inward . . .” (Sura 6:120). I have tried many times to abandon my sin of selfishness. But I cannot do it. Not even for a single day!

The sad fact is no one is able to abandon their sin totally. What’s your experience?  Please share this by emailing us.

“If Allah were to punish men according to what they deserve. He would not leave on the back of the (earth) a single living creature” (Qs 35:45) . Clearly, there is no hope for sinners in Islam.

But wait, there is hope! Allah is most merciful. Allah has demonstrated his great mercy to us. He sent Isa Al-Masih from heaven to live a sinless life on earth so He could offer his life to stand in our place and be judged by Allah for our sins.

“He himself [Isa Al-Masih] bore our sins in his body on the tree [the cross]” (Injil, 1 Peter 2:24).  “The punishment that brought us peace was upon him” (Torah, Prophet Isaiah 53:5).

This is an amazing sign of Allah’s mercy for us. Will you receive this costly gift from Allah? It is the only sure hope for sinners in Islam and for the whole world. Do you possess this hope? Email us to learn how to receive this gift and have eternal hope.
