Do Muslims understand Christianity? Not really! Christians also do not understand why Muslims don’t like Christianity.
“The Way” booklet explains some of the misunderstandings Muslims have about Christianity. This is a great booklet for both Muslims and Christians to read and study. To download it, please click here.
The Quran Gives Strong Support to the Earlier Holy Books
We receive many emails from Muslims saying that the Quran is the only holy book that is the Word of God. According to them, the Injil, Taurat, Zabur, and the Prophets are not God’s Word for today.
Yet, the Quran tells its followers to believe in these Books. Qs 5:46 says, “We made Jesus, son of Mary, follow in the footsteps (of the earlier Prophets) and confirm what existed in the Torah in his time. We gave him the Gospel containing guidance and light, as a confirmation of the Torah and instruction and advice for the pious ones” (Qs 5:46).
Muhammad also told his followers to read God’s Holy Book. “So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you…” (Qs 10:94).
God’s Word is Eternal, Unchangeable
Looking at the two verses from the Quran above, it appears Muslims should read these holy books. We know that God’s Word (Injil, Taurat, Zabur, and the Prophets) will never change. The prophet Isaiah actually states this: “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8).
Both Isa Al-Masih and the Quran say that God’s Word cannot be changed. Obviously, God is all-powerful. He is capable of preserving His Word from those who might want to change it. We must not doubt the power of Allah. Read this great promise, “‘But the word of the Lord remains forever.’ And this word is the good news that was preached to you” (1 Peter 1:25).
Through his booklet, the author tries to answer any doubts Muslims have about the authenticity of the Bible, the confusion over the Trinity and unity God, and the identity of Isa Al-Masih. He also deals with other topics about Christianity of interest to Muslims.
Core Differences Between Islam and Christianity
Do Christians and Muslims worship the same God? The biggest difference in what Muslims and Christians believe is about the nature of God. God’s Word (The Bible), is the story of God’s search for man, beginning when Adam and Eve fell into sin and were sent from God’s presence. But the Quran and Islam is basically about man’s search for God.
God’s ultimate desire is for us to be with Him in heaven for all eternity. “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me” (Injil, John 10:28). We encourage you to carefully think about the way of salvation!
A Few of the Many Questions You Will Find Answers to in “The Way”
1. Why do you doubt that God can keep His Word pure?
2. Are humans the main reason that God sacrificed His Word (Isa Al-Masih)?
3. Which is better, to live by the Word of God, or to live by religious rules?
4. Why is Isa Al-Masih called the Kalimatullah?
5.What is the gift of Salvation?
[We invite you to visit us at https://www.isaandislam.com/way-of-salvation to learn more about God’s gift of Salvation. God loves you and waits to hear from you. Isa clearly said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (Injil, John 14:6). “Christians do not understand why Muslims don’t like Christianity.” That is a big generalized statement spoken on behalf of all Muslims. And unfair. I think the best way to enhance understanding is through explaining not belittling.
`
Dear Safi,
Christianity, in a simple sense, refers to a way of life of certain people based on Jesus’ (Isa Al-Masih) life and teachings. For the most part, Muslims don’t agree with Christianity because they don’t acknowledge Isa Al-Masih, even though the Quran has many things to say about Him. You can also witness this in many of the comments that have been posted.
We don’t intend to be unfair, but the statement is a reality. However, what we mean by Christianity is not the people, but the way of life as described above. Although the Quran talks about Isa Al-Masih, one can find many more things about Him in the Injil. We encourage you to read the Injil to learn more.

Asslam o alaikum
I think that you didn’t read Qs 10:94 carefully. The complete reference is:
”So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters.”
Read that the truth (Quran) has certainly come to you (Muhamamd) which means all the previous books including the Bible have bee rejected.
`
Dear Romeo,
We agree that we should read the Quran carefully and completely. But you should also read the Bible in the same way. The Quran supports this. QS 5:68 says, “… you follow no good till you keep up the Taurat and the Injeel…”
How can you say that the Bible has been rejected, when the Quran says that you “follow no good till you keep up the Taurat and the Injeel”?
