What Should We Learn From The Mosque Bombing in Egypt?

explosion bombWe mourned for the victims and their families when two churches in Egypt were attacked on April 2017. The explosions at St George’s Church in the town of Tanta killed 25 people. At St. Mark Coptic Church in Alexandria, 31 people were killed and many were injured.

The explosions of the Al-Rawdah Mosque in Bir al-Abed were also very heartbreaking. The bombings and shootings took place after Friday prayer and killed 235 people while injuring 120.

enemyDoes ISIS Violate the Al-Bara Teaching?

According to Asy-Syaikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz, Al-Bara (hating infidels) does not mean acting cruel and ruthless to infidels. Instead, you only hate them in your heart and never make friends with them. Can we hate people in our hearts without being cruel to them?

The terrorist organization, ISIS, hates and kills Sufi Muslims whom they deem as infidels. Are they violating the teaching of Al-Bara? Send us your opinion.

love in lettersAllah Commands Us to Love Others

The Holy God forbids hatred and killing people. He said to Moses in the Torah, “You shall not murder” (Torah, Exodus 20:13).

Isa Al-Masih, the Word of Allah, teaches the golden rule, Do to others as you would have them do to you” (Injil, Luke 6:31). Isa further commands us to, “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you” (Injil, Luke 6:27-28).

Isa Al-Masih proved his unconditional love for us by sacrificing Himself on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins so we don’t have to. Everyone who trusts in Isa will have eternal life in heaven.

When we obey Allah and apply Isa Al-Masih’s teaching, we can create a community without hatred and violence. Do you think peace is possible through following Isa? Let us know through this email.
