I am only an ordinary man who was born to a wealthy Muslim family in Pakistan. When I was a few months old my father took me to Saudi Arabia. When I was about six, my mom passed away. As I grew older I had many questions. Why am I here? Is there really a God? Where is He?
Deeper Into Islam
I began studying the Quran when I was around twelve. I was Wahabi like most Saudi Muslims. They are very extreme Muslims and I was too. I learned that Islam is the only way to Heaven.
Searching for Isa Al-Masih
I had read about the prophets in the Quran and the Hadiths, but Isa Al-Masih touched me more than any other prophet. I found out that Christians believe Isa Al-Masih is the Son of God. I wondered why they believed that. I started trying to learn more about Isa Al-Masih.
A Christian Friend Gives Me His Bible
I had a Christian friend who studied with me sometimes. I asked him one day if I could have his Bible. He was surprised and said, “Sorry, you can’t have it.” I promised him no one would ever know. “It will remain between me and you.” But my father found out that I was reading the Bible and that it was in our home. He was very angry. He took me to my friend’s home and warned them saying, “If you do this again and try to preach Christianity to a Muslim child, you’ll suffer. We’ll tell the Islamic Police and you could be exiled from this country.” I was worried. I shouldn’t have done this to my friend’s family.
A Vision of Isa Al-Masih
My father told me to pray five times a day and once a day in the mosque. I kept going, and often when there was no one in the mosque I would cry and ask God to show me, “Who is Jesus? Who are you?” One day I was praying in the Mosque during the noon prayer. I saw an image of a person where we bow our heads in prayer. I was shocked. I had never seen such a thing. I knew that this was Isa Al-Masih.
I was worried. How could that be? I had learned in the Quran that God is only one. Christians believe Isa Al-Masih is the Son of God and also call Him God. According to Islam, this is the greatest sin, one God can never forgive. I completed my prayer and began thinking about it later. My hunger to know about Isa Al-Masih grew.
I Discover a Website about Isa Al-Masih
I no longer had a Bible. One day I was passing through shops and came to an internet cafe. I was on the internet and a thought came to my mind: Search for “Who Is Jesus?” I did, and got lots of websites about Jesus. I was amazed that I could search about Him there.
One website provided good information about Jesus. It told about prophecies of Him in the Old Testament, and how amazingly He fulfilled them in the New Testament.
I was amazed. I was happy to find this site. I went to this site often. Some of the other Christian websites were blocked, but this one wasn’t! One day I thought of giving Jesus a try, so I said the salvation prayer on their website. After that I began thinking, “Did I commit the greatest sin? I will never ever get to heaven.”
It Became Clear That I Was On the Right Path
I continued to see the same image of Isa often when I went to the Mosque to pray. One day I was walking toward a market. As I walked, I asked God if what I was doing was right. Should I be Christian or Muslim? I heard a voice behind me saying, “My son, you are on the right path.” I was amazed! I had never experienced these kinds of things.
I discovered that this was directly from the Bible. The prophet Isaiah said, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it’” (Isaiah 30:21).
Isa Al-Masih, A Revelation and Mercy for Mankind
The Quran tells that there will be a revelation for mankind and mercy–a revelation and mercy to all mankind even after Mohammad. Why? What kind of mercy is it? The Quran does not answer that. Muslims have to read the Injil to find out about God’s mercy for mankind.
Isa Al-Masih is not the mercy that was meant only for people of His time or area. God made Him Mercy for all mankind, even after Muhammad.
God’s Reveals His Mercy To Me
Many people have found God’s mercy in Isa Al-Masih and have been changed. One of them is me. “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved” (Injil, Ephesians 2:4-5).
Whenever I have been in trouble, He has been there and comforted me like no one ever could. He has shown me that He’s alive forever and He loves us very much. The prophet David also experience this, and wrote about his dependence on God and deliverance by God in many psalms. “The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid” (Psalm 27:1). Later on, David said, “As for me, I call to God, and the LORD saves me” (Psalm 55:16).
Praying for Guidance, For the Straight Way
Muslims pray many times a day for guidance; and amazingly, the last and greatest of Islam’s prophets, Muhammad, kept praying for guidance until his death. Muhammad never knew for sure if he was on the straight path to heaven or not. Some Muslims are even sure if he is in heaven.
Was Muhammad on the straight path? Is Islam the straight path? I encourage all Muslims to ask themselves if they are on the straight path to get to heaven.
Brothers and sisters, open your hearts and minds to accept God’s amazing Love. “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins” (1 John 4:10).
Allow Isa Al-Masih into your life and see what happens next. I praise and thank God for sending His Word (Isa Al-Masih) to die for me and for all of us! To understand how to begin a relationship with Him, please see: http://isaandislam.com/Way-of-Salvation/five-steps-of-salvation.html.
