I have been a Christian since I was a kid since my family was Christian. But my knowledge about Isa was limited. Would I be going to heaven?
“On Paper Only” Christian
I had no idea what being a Christian really meant. Being a Christian to me was on paper only – an identity without substance.
In my twenty years going to church, I was clueless about spirituality. I didn’t recognize Isa Al-Masih as my own Savior.
What I had been doing all this time was following a Christian ritual. I thought all religions were the same. The difference was only in how we conduct our worship/prayer. I even asked myself, ‘does being religious guarantee heaven?’
Christianity Isn’t About Religion
In 2007 I moved to a town called Jember. I stayed with my elder brother and his family. Every Sunday I went to the church with them.
There were not a lot of people in the church, but I felt something special. The Christians there really knew Isa Al-Masih. The way they lived their lives left a deep impression on me. They also taught me how to be a real follower of Isa Al-Masih.
It was there when I realized Christianity was not just about religion. It isn’t just about knowing Isa is the Word of God who became a man. It isn’t only about how He died on the cross to save human beings’ lives. It isn’t only about how He rose from the dead on the third day and conquered death.
If you believe being religious and doing good deeds can save you, please email us and explain.
I finally realized that Christianity is all about Isa Al-Masih. Those who will go to heaven are those who have a personal relationship with Him spiritually. I knew I had to make a decision at that time.
Isa Al-Masih Saved My Life
One Sunday someone explained the truth about Isa Al-Masih to me. That night when everybody in the house was asleep, I couldn’t sleep. In my bedroom I prayed to Isa. I made a decision that changed my whole life.
I confessed my sins, asked for forgiveness, and invited Isa Al-Masih into my heart. I surrendered my life into His hands. Suddenly, tears were flowing from my eyes, and I felt such relief in my heart.
Now my heart is full of thanksgiving, peace, and joy. Isa Al-Masih is the only way, the truth and the life (Injil, John 14:6)! If you want to experience the peace and joy Isa brings please email us.
