The theme for this portion of the “Achmad Soeparno’s Family” series is, “Why Do You Fast?”
During Ramadan, Muslims around the world fast. God’s Holy Book, the Injil, taught, “And when you fast, don’t make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get” (Injil, Matthew 6:16).
Many Muslims don’t fast for the right reason. They fast in order to look religious, to gain respect, etc. God’s Word says that they are hypocrites.
What about you? Do you fast for the right reason? How do you fast rightly before God? We hope that through this video series, you will learn more about fasting, and that God will be pleased with your motivation to do so.
This video series of “Why Do You Fast?” is divided into four episodes. Make sure you don’t miss any!
