How Can a Muslim Get Rid of His Shame?

28 April 2016 by Jasmin 2 Comments

bersalahA young woman runs away from home to escape marriage. Her family kills her because of shame. You flunked out of school and feel ashamed. You no longer believe in Allah, but you continue to salat and fast because your family will disown you if they find out.

We have all felt shame. We have been taught from birth and by our community not to bring shame on our family. This fear of shame is supposed to keep us from sinning. “If you feel no shame, then do whatever you wish” (Bukhari). Yet we all do things that bring shame on ourselves and our family.

The Injil tells a story of a young man who shamed his father. Yet his father forgave him and erased his shame.

The Shamed Father, the Ashamed Son

The son grew up working on the family farm. But he got tired of helping. So he asked his father for his share of the inheritance. His father obliged. The son left for the big city.

He gambled away his inheritance. Before long, he was broke. He got a job feeding pigs because it was all he could find! After a while, he realized that even his father’s hired workers were better off than he. He decided to go home, ask his father for forgiveness and work as a hired hand.

Allah Sebagai Bapa

Before he arrived, his father saw him coming and ran to him! The father hugged him. They walked home together. He gave his son beautiful cloak to wear, put sandals on his feet, and a ring on his finger. The father planned a big party, all because his son had come home! He told everyone, “My son was lost and is now found!” (The Injil, Luke 15:11-32)

Isa Al-Masih Died to Remove Your Shame

You may be ashamed of your life. Maybe you have committed a grave sin and your shame is great. Allah wants to restore your honor the same way the father in the above story restored his son’s honor.

Isa Al-Masih wants to remove your shame. He died for the shame you have caused. He died to restore you completely with Allah! That is the good news of the Injil. Trusting in Isa’s sacrifice is the only way to restore your honor. Now your relationship can be made right with Allah. Do you want your shame forgiven? Do you want your honor restored? This can happen today!

There is only One God, not three. Worshiping a man is shirked. The religion of Paul is not the Injil.

      Dear Michael,

Jesus is God manifested in the flesh and dwelt among us. The Lord Jesus came to the world to give mankind eternal life to anyone who believes on Him. Jesus Christ and the Father is One God as written in the Bible including the four Gospel (Injil) and the epistles of Paul.

”In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.“ (John‬ ‭1‬:‭1,14‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one…
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”
      ‭‭(1 John‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬-‭8‬, ‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

”And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.“ (1 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

Believe on the Lord Jesus as your God and Savior who loves you and died for your sin.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬)
      ”I and my Father are one.“ (‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭30‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

“But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins,” (‭‭Mark‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬).

“that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭9‬-‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬)
