The Quran testifies in many verses to the uniqueness and supremacy of Isa Al-Masih. From His virgin birth to His resurrection from the dead, there is no other prophet like Him. The Quran tells the world of his great miracles, His sinless life and His Divine relationship with Allah.
The Virgin Birth of Isa Al-Masih
Isa Al-Masih alone of all the apostles, prophets and messengers sent by God was born of a virgin. His conception was a unique miracle of Allah (Qs 19:16-34; 3:47; 22:91; 66:12).
Isa Al-Masih is the Word of Allah and a Spirit from Allah
No other person has ever been given the title “The Word of Allah” (Qs 3:45; 4:171). He alone is the very Word of Allah. The thoughts of Allah’s are manifested to all men in the teachings of Isa. How can this be? Because Isa is a spirit from Allah, and speaks what he hears directly from Allah (Qs 4:171).
His Sinless and Perfect Life
The Quran tells us that Isa lived a faultless life (Qs 19:19). He lived His life in complete obedience to Allah. He led a sinless and perfect life. There is no other prophet of God who did this. Adam, Abraham, Moses and even Muhammad had to receive forgiveness from God (Qs 40:55.) But Isa stands alone as sinless and perfect.
Isa Al-Masih is the Worker of Miracles
The Quran testifies to the miracles worked through Isa (Qs 3:49). He gave sight to the blind and cured people of leprosy. He formed a bird from clay and breathed life into it. Isa even raised people from the dead! No other prophet had ever done the miracles that He did. This speaks to the supremacy of Isa through His unique relationship with Allah.
The Illustrious Messiah: The Revelation and Mercy of Allah
The prophets spoke of the coming a special man from Allah called the Messiah. This special person was coming to change everything. Isa Al-Masih is the Messiah foretold by the prophets and testified to in Al-Quran. Isa alone is given the noble and long foretold title “The Messiah” (Qs 4:172; 3:45; 5:75; 9:30). The Quran tells us He is a revelation and a mercy from Allah, (Qs 19:21). We are also told that the people who follow Isa are set above those who disbelieve (Qs 3:55). He alone is said to be illustrious in the world and the Hereafter (Qs 3:45) where he already is with Allah in heaven (Qs 3:55).
