The Only Way to Experience True Peace This Coming Year

29 December 2023 by Web Administrator 1 Comment

There are many things that make us feel anxious. Including work, family problems, and finances. We all need peace, but it’s not always easy to find.

According to the Quran and the Bible, Isa Al-Masih’s birth was very special. Because it brings peace for both Muslims and Christians.

“Peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I die, and the day I will be raised back to life! That is Jesus, son of Mary. ˹And this is˺ a word of truth. . .” (Qs 19:33-34).

Let’s see how the meaning of Christmas can provide true peace for Muslims and Christians.

Christmas is Special for Muslims, Too!

Did you know the Quran highlights the birth of Isa Al-Masih? It emphasizes the importance of the moment of His birth. For example:

  • There was great peace at the time of Isa Al-Masih’s birth (Qs 19:33-34).
  • It was an exhilarating time because Isa, son of Mary, will be honored in this world and the Hereafter (Qs 3:45).
  • Isa Al-Masih is a sign of Allah’s mercy for mankind.

“We make him [Isa Al-Masih] a sign for humanity and a mercy from Us. . .” (Qs 19:21).

No other person’s birth in the Quran is highlighted in this way. Only Isa Al-Masih’s birth is considered very special. Understanding this helps us see that Christmas is also a celebration for Muslims.

The Birth of the Prince of Peace

Hundreds of years before the birth of Isa [Jesus], there was a prophecy from the great prophet Isaiah. It states that Isa [Jesus] is the Prince of Peace.

“For to us a child [Isa Al-Masih] is born, to us a son was given . . . his name will be called . . . Prince of Peace” (Torah, Isaiah 9:6).

Isa Al-Masih’s coming into the world is proof that this prophecy came true. Jesus came to give peace to everyone who believes in Him.

“. . . My peace [Isa Al-Masih] I give to you. . . ‘Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid’” (Gospels, John 14:27).

When we believe in Jesus [Isa Al-Masih], Allah’s comfort is available to us. There is an inner serenity and strength to face difficulties.

Allah promises to hear our prayers if we pray in the name of Isa Al-Masih. Isa [Jesus] gave us this invitation.

“Come to Me [Isa Al-Masih], all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Gospels, Matthew 11:28).

These things bring peace to our lives. Because we realize that even though we face various challenges, Allah loves us and wants to help us.

True Peace from Forgiveness of Sins

However, there is even greater news. Isa Al-Masih provides assurance that our sins will be forgiven.

Allah wants to help sinful people, like us, so we can experience eternal life.

You can have assurance of heaven. This is what brings true peace to our hearts. Allah’s forgiveness is available for those who believe and become followers of Jesus [Isa Al-Masih].

“She [Maryam] will give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus [Isa Al-Masih], because He will save His people from their sins” (Gospels, Matthew 1:21).

A Peaceful Christmas for Muslims and Christians

Everyone needs peace, but it’s very difficult to get.

Often times when friends meet, they greet each other by sharing peace. Muslims usually say, “As-Salamu Alaykum” and many Christians say, “Shalom”, which means peace.

This is why the meaning of Christmas is very important for both Muslims and Christians. It reminds us of the birth of Jesus who brings Allah’s true peace.

“Then the angel said. . . ‘Today a Savior has been born to you, He is the Messiah [Isa], the Lord . . . Peace on earth to those his favor rests’” (Gospels, Luke 2:10-11,14).

Do you want to receive peace from Allah? Believe and become a follower of Isa Al-Masih today!
