Does God Have a Soul?

29 December 2009 by Web Administrator 1 Comment

Jiwa Allah

Does God have a soul? Yes! Man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), and we have souls. God is a Spirit. But He also has a soul because with our souls we think, feel, and have a will. Because God is spirit and soul, we are able to know Him and fellowship with Him. Isa revealed God to us (Gospel of John 1: 8, also see the passage beginning with 1:1). Isa’ teaching reveals the holiness and wisdom of God. His life and activity shows us the love of God.

Certainly God is a spirit and is not tied to a physical body (John 4:23, 24). But because He is almighty, surely He can take the form of a body when He wants to, as He did in the “birth” of Isa.
