The Quran gives Isa Al-Masih a mighty and glorious name. He is called the Word of Allah (Qs 3:45, 3:39). Yes, only Isa Al-Masih is given such a lofty and important title. Why is this? Why are no other prophets given such a name or title? There must be something about Isa Al-Masih that is truly unique and superior to all the other prophets of Allah. The Quran declares the supremacy of Isa Al-Mash in Qs 4:171 by not only calling Him the Word of Allah, but a Spirit from Allah as well. Isa Al-Masih is the voice of Allah. He was chosen to declare the will of God to man on earth. As God thinks, so Isa speaks. And by the Spirit from Allah, He performed miracles that only God can perform.
Isa Al-Masih is the Divine Manifestation of God’s Thoughts and Will
Just as a man’s thoughts and words are part of himself, so God’s thoughts and words are a part of Himself as well. They can never be divided and are always together in His divine being. Isa Al-Masih, as the Word of God, is part of God’s divine being. He is eternally part of God. He is the manifestation of the thoughts and will of God.
Only God is Perfect and Holy, yet the Quran Tells us Isa Al-Masih is Perfect and Holy.
God could not choose a mere earthly man to be his word. Man is sinful and fallen. There is no way the righteous and divine mind of God could unite with a sinful creature. God had to use the only sinless and righteous man to ever walk upon the earth. He chose His perfect and holy Son to be his word(Sura 19:19). Not just because the Son was perfect and righteous, but because He is a divine part of God.
Isa Al-Masih as the “Spirit from Allah” Performed Miracles That Only God Can Do.
Look at the miracles performed by Isa Al-Masih! Was there ever seen anything like it? No, only Isa healed lepers, gave sight to the blind and raised people from the dead (Qs 3:49)! Aren’t these signs and miracles indication of His divinity? Disease had no power over Him. He lovingly and boldly touched the lepers and they were healed. Isa Al-Masih’s divine power by the Spirit of God overcame the power of sin and disease.
God Became Man.
Christians have never elevated a man to a God. We know that there isn’t one righteous man among us. We are all sinners. But the all-powerful God, because of His great love and mercy, sent His Son into the World to save mankind from sin and death. Through Isa Al-Masih, God became man. He lived. He died. He rose again. He is now in heaven. He will come again at the hour of Judgment (Qs 19:33; Qs 3:55; Qs 4:158; Qs 43:61).

I think that the Gospel teaches Jesus is not Allah himself, but rather the personification of the eternal word of Allah, for according to the Greek of John 1:1-5,14 which reads: ‘In the beginning was the word, and the word was near to Allah, and the word was divine. It was in the beginning near to Allah. All things were made by it; and without it was not any thing made that was made. In it was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. … And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld the glory of it, the glory as that [which is] unique from the Creator abounding in kindness and truth.’ Do you worship the Bible as you worship God?

Dear Nachash,
Thank you for your comment.
Biblical evidence for the full deity and humanity of Jesus is abundant. In regard to humanity, Jesus is presented as a Jewish man who was born, underwent the normal process of growth and development, and experienced a full range of human experiences including death.
Scripture also affirms that Jesus is also the eternal Son of Allah and is equal with the Father and Spirit. In the New Testament, Jesus is identified as the Lord; the one who establishes the divine rule. That is why Jesus’ miracles are not merely human acts empowered by the Spirit of Allah; rather they are demonstrations of His own divine authority over nature, Satan and his hosts. Because Jesus is the Son of Allah, Jesus is the authority to forgive sin, call Himself the fulfillment of Scripture, view His relationship with the Father as one of equality, and do the very works of Allah in creation.
The actual Greek test of John 1:1-5, 14 reads as this:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Allah, and the Word was Allah. He was in the beginning with Allah. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
The word of Allah cannot be separated from Allah. The word of Allah is Allah as you can read from the article.
Allah wanted to save human from the punishment of sin, but He could not come in his divine glory because no human can stand it. Allah had to reveal Himself to humans by making himself acceptable to humans, that is to be human. Jesus is Allah’s Word transformed into a human.
When you said that Jesus is a personification of the eternal word of Allah, do you mean Jesus is not real? The Quran agreed that Jesus, The Word of Allah, was born into this world through virgin Maryam.
When we worship Jesus, the Living Allah, we don’t worship Bible. The Bible is a collection of books that contain the written word of Allah.

Jesus Christ is our advocate, for he was in beginning with GOD. Jesus is divine, yet he became one like a Son of Man and dwelt among us.
My family’s translation for Surah 4:171 is:
‘O People of the Book, do not commit excess in your religion or say about GOD except the truth. Indeed, Christ Jesus is Mary’s Son, the Apostle of GOD; & His Word, which He sent down to Mary; & a Spirit from Him. Thus believe in GOD & His Apostles & do not say, “Three.” It is better for you to desist. Indeed, GOD is [the] Only [True] God. Glorified is He (ie. GOD), because [there] is for Him a Son (ie. to say Jesus is the Son of GOD), for whom (ie. for Jesus), everything in the heavens and everything on the earth [exists], thus he (ie. Jesus) is sufficient before GOD as an advocate.’
Note: “ie.” means “that is”.

Dear Idris Haris,
Amen! Jesus Christ, the Word, came to mankind to die for our sins and save us from the punishment of hell. What an amazing grace!
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1:1-3 KJV)
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:12-14 KJV)
