My name is Aisha. I am a university student and live in the UK.
Raised in a devout Muslim family, I often felt restless and unworthy of love from my parents and from God. My search for solace led me to a transformative journey through faith, ultimately finding peace in Christ.
Here’s my story of how I found a new beginning in life. And how my life went from being full of strife to finding salvation.

Strife from the Start
As the first child to my parents, my arrival was fraught with complications. My mother nearly miscarried during her pregnancy with me.
At birth, I almost died when the umbilical cord choked me. An emergency C-section saved me. My life had a new beginning.
My father, reverently naming me Aisha, which means “alive” in Arabic, hoped I would be blessed with knowledge and curiosity, much like Prophet Muhammad’s wise wife, Aisha.
However, my early years were challenging. I was slow to speak and walk, uttering my first words only at the age of three. My developmental delays made me prone to distress and anger, often leading to explosive outbursts.

A particularly sad memory from my childhood was when my younger brother, Zayd, was born. Excited to have a baby brother, I held him closely, but my mother, fearing for his safety, snatched him away. In a fit of anger, I slapped her—an action that still haunts me.
At age 15, my struggles took a new turn when I experienced my first episode of epilepsy. Found lying on the bathroom floor by my grandmother, foaming at the mouth with a bitten tongue, I narrowly escaped death once again. Despite medication to prevent further episodes, the constant threat of seizures added to my distress.

Discovering God and Facing a Crossroad
Raised in a devout and religious Muslim family, I started Quran lessons at age three when I learned to read the alphabet. By age 10, I started praying five times a day and fasting.
Despite those things, my life felt devoid of peace and full of strife. Somehow God was out of reach and I felt restless.
My boredom and depression led me to seek solace on social media, where I stumbled upon the YouTube channel “Super Book.” The first video “In the Beginning” from Genesis showed how God created the heavens and the earth. Captivated, I continued to watch the entire series.

For the first time, I felt that I understood God and that He was good. It was like I was given a new beginning in life.
My curiosity grew, leading me to explore more Christian educational videos and movies such as “Douglas Talks” and “Raising Up Champions.” Films like “Miracle from Heaven” and “Heaven Is For Real” deeply moved me and comforted me.
I also began seeking Christian testimonies, especially those who had converted from a Muslim background. They claimed that they found the truth and the peace that I so desired to have.
I found myself standing at the crossroads, grappling with the weighty decision of embracing Christian faith and fearing the risk associated with it.
From Inquiry to Faith: My Path to Salvation
My journey in seeking for truth led me to the website www.isaandislam.com. The articles there provided me many new perspectives and deeper understanding.
What captivated me most were stories of individuals who were given a new beginning in life upon embracing Isa (Jesus).
Though hesitant, I reached out to their admin. My heart was heavy with questions about Jesus and the Bible. They gently guided me and helped me.

It wasn’t until Eid al-Adha of that year that I made the life-altering decision to believe in Jesus (Isa) as my Lord and Savior. It was a moment of profound clarity amidst the chaos of doubt—a leap of faith into uncharted waters. Isa gave me a new beginning in life.
Though my journey with faith in Isa has just begun, I find solace in the belief that he holds the answers I seek. With each step forward, a new chapter unfolds, and with it, a newfound sense of purpose. The old me fades into memory, replaced by a renewed spirit emboldened by God’s mercy.
A New Beginning Through Faith in Isa
I hope that my story leads you to discover your new life and be free from what seems to be your fate. I no longer feel heavy and full of guilt and unrest. God loves me and gives me hope.
Do you want to experience this peace, love, and hope? Put your faith in Isa Al-Masih!

This is one of my favorite verses: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Cor. 5:17).
You can become a “new creation” today by asking Jesus the Savior, to give you a new heart and new peace. I encourage you to become His follower today!
